Supervisor Service – Machine Health Monitoring & Reliability Solutions (m/w/d) – Raum DACH

We are seeking, as part of a direct placement for our client, a globally operating S&P 500 company in the field of Industrial Automation, a Supervisor Service – Machine Health Monitoring & Reliability Solutions (m/f/d) to lead a team responsible for the DACH region.

Your team is based in Gronau, so living nearby is preferred; however, you can live anywhere in Germany and work or start assignments from your place of residence, provided you can meet your team in Gronau regularly for in-person meetings.

In this role, you will manage the service operations of the RS (Reliability Solutions) and MHM (Machinery Health Management) function, leading a team of six service professionals in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

You will be an active member of the DACH Lifecycle Service Management Team, working jointly with other Operations department leaders and the Sales Team to align service execution and sales strategies, providing services and support to internal and external customers in the area.

In a split responsibility, you lead your team; however, you will also perform service tasks as an expert to provide services and support to your customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the RS (Reliability Solutions) and MHM (Machinery Health Management) Service Team in the DACH region
  • Ensure the Service Team is appropriately equipped, trained, and developed to meet current and future business needs
  • Develop, implement, and introduce new, efficient service strategies, methods, and processes to the teams, aimed at supporting the growth and profitability of the Service Office. Ensure adequate service capabilities and resources (local and CoE – Center of Excellence) are selected and available to support all service activities
  • Ensure all service activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Maintain and oversee service- and maintenance-related ISO procedures and work instructions
  • Apply specialized technical knowledge to specific subjects
  • Collaborate closely with the DACH Operations Management Team to determine the actions necessary to ensure proper service coverage for all supported products. This includes completing assigned service activities in a timely and successful manner while adhering to the agreed service budget
  • Interface, support, and coordinate problem-solving for technical issues related to service orders with the service team and internal and external clients as required to deliver successful services
  • Analyze, document, and resolve technical customer requests and issues (hardware and software) for all delivered systems
  • Perform all necessary tasks for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of MHM/RS systems, integrated bus systems, intelligent field devices, and third-party systems at customer sites
  • Escalate issues to specialists in CoEs for further investigation and track problems until solutions are implemented
  • Collaborate closely with the MHM and RS Sales Teams to develop and introduce new services for the domestic market, and assist the sales organization with demonstrations, presentations, and service estimates

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or equivalent education
  • Work Experience with MHM/RS systems and solutions, including prior experience as an MHM/RS Service Engineer
  • Knowledge (preferred): MHM/RS systems, industry-specific experience, and proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Languages: German – fluent, English – good
  • Interpersonal Skills: Professional attitude, technical orientation, customer focus, strong leadership and people management abilities, team-oriented mindset, flexibility, and a proactive approach to self-learning
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license
  • Travel and Regional Scope: Willingness to travel 30–40% within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) for training, business trips, or assignments involving service, maintenance, and commissioning activities at customer sites as needed
