Für unseren Kunden Emerson Automation Solutions im Geschäftsbereich Automation for Renewable Power Generation suchen wir einen Sales Engineer/Specialist (m/w/d) – Automation Systems for Renewable Power Generation für das Vertriebsgebiet Deutschland.

As a dedicated sales professional with a passion for the growing renewable energy market, you will sell automation projects and solutions to new and existing customers in the renewable power generation sector, such as wind, solar and battery energy storage systems.
The systems and solutions portfolio includes e. g. DCS, park power control systems, turbine & pitch control, farm optimization, SCADA, condition monitoring retrofit solutions and others.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop new customer accounts (cold canvassing and re-exploration) in the Renewable Energy Market in the region (main focus on Germany)
  • Maintain, develop and extend relationships with existing customers on different levels in the organization
  • Prepare and implement a sales account plan and achieve agreed-upon targets and objectives
  • Manage complex sales cycles from lead to closure, including driving offer establishment and leading contract discussions/negotiations
  • Actively visit customers to understand their business drivers and needs and find the link with Emerson’s product and /solutions
  • Coordinate complex cross divisional sales projects
  • Present Emerson’s products and solutions at all relevant trade shows, fairs, conferences, etc.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent education
  • Several years sales experience in the Renewable Energy Market Segment (Wind, Solar and/or Battery Storage)
  • Strong technical skills
  • Experience in the renewable energies sector
  • Knowledge of power plant operations, processes and management including an understanding of distributed control systems (DCS)
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in German and English is essential
  • Willingness to frequently travel throughout Germany and occasionally within the DACH region and Europe
