Field Sales Engineer Analyze (m/w/d)

Wir suchen für unseren Kunden, die Emerson Automation Solutions einen Field Sales Engineer Analyze (m/w/d) für die Betreuung der DACH Region. Als Dienstsitz sind Standorte in Deutschland möglich.

Summary of Role
Understand industrial processes and sell the corresponding analytical solutions & services to customers, with a strong Focus on Analytical Products (NDIR/UV/PO2/EO2/TC analyzers (PGA), Quantum Cascade Laser Analyzers, Combustion analyzers, Gas Chromatographs & Liquid analyzers). Directly engage with all appropriate customers to promote and sell the EMERSON Business Concepts including products, solutions and services in the area of responsibility. Ensure that the Business Unit is promoted and supported within the sales region and all other EMERSON Business Units are introduced to the customer. Special focus shall be on natural gas, gas processing, Power Industry and Alternative Energy including Hydrogen.

In this role you will:

  • Signs responsible to achieve Sales, Bookings and Gross Profit target for the Divisional product lines in the agreed DACH area (Germany, Austria & Switzerland)
  • Actively visits existing customers to promote the assigned product lines, entire product portfolio and services (maintaining customer base)
  • Seeks new opportunities to sell assigned products and services to new customers
  • Seeks new opportunities to sell Emerson Analytic Solutions to an existing and new customer base
  • Reports regularly to the Sales Manager on customer requirements, competition and market trends
  • Negotiates with Customer Business Contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority, including discount, price and volume structures
  • Actively keeps up to date a complete definition of the customer organization (customer database)
  • Maximizes both “face to face time” and other communication possibilities (telephone, e-mail, etc.) with customers
  • Maintains close relationship with product managers and other country organizations
  • Ensure Trade Compliance in the area of responsibility
  • Business Ethics stipulated by Emerson

Required Qualifications and Experience 

  • Engineering degree in Chemistry / Physics / Electronics or comparable technical education
  • 5 years industry experience, ideally as process engineer and 3 years in selling Analytic Products
  • Measurement & control technology background, ideally in gas analysis
  • Industry Knowledge (Chemical, Petrochemical, Natural Gas, Power and Alternative Industries)
  • Product Knowledge (Analytic Measurement Devices)
  • Application Knowledge for Analytic Measurement solutions
  • Fluent in English Language, preferably C2
  • Customer Focus and Client Relationships
  • Continuous Improvement and Proactive Working Style
  • Presentation & Communication Skills
  • Target oriented and Decision maker
  • Future oriented thinking by always identifying new opportunities
